Pol-Mak History
Homemade Noodle Company Pol-Mak S.A. is one of the biggest producers of noodles in Mid-Eastern Poland. It was founded in 1995 as a one-person firm, but quickly developed into a company employing more than ninety people, which sells its products throughout Poland, and exports them to Ireland and Germany. Pol-Mak’s history is linked to the persona of Grzegorz Polak, who having graduated from Cracow’s AGH, worked for two years in a coalmine, then started his own hothouse farm, and after fifteen years founded Pol-Mak. His innovative ideas quickly improved the production process. Already in 1998, a new production facility has been built and set off, which further sped up the production process and diversified the noodles produced. With every year the production rate grew, and new workers were hired. At first, the company produced 300 kg of noodles daily, now it produces 15-16 tones.
In 2003 the firm has been transformed into a limited liability company, and in 2007 a share-holding company. The company became a member of the Polish Chamber of Noodles and Pasta, Lublin’s Business Club, Association of Lublin’s Private Investors. Since 2003 the company has introduced the HACCP system, and since 2009 the certified Quality Management System ISO 9001. Pol-Mak specializes in the production of rolled egg noodles; it is Pol-Mak’s strategy to supply its customers with the products prepared in accordance with the recipes that satisfy the tastes of even the most demanding consumers. Also in our offer, you will find pastas produced the Italian way with the use of a pressing machine allowing for a variety of noodle shapes.
