Gigli witch bolognese sauce

Ingredients

  • Gigli Tak, jak lubię
  • 250g ground beef
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 Selery stick
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 30-50g smoked bacon
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup red dry wine
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • salt
  • sugar
  • pepper

Preparation:

1. Peel the carrot and grate it using large holes on a grater, then dice the celery and bacon into small cubes. Chop the garlic and onion.

2. Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the bacon until golden brown, then add the onion and garlic. Once the onion becomes translucent, add the carrot and celery to the pan and mix well. Sauté for a few minutes covered, until the vegetables soften. Then add the beef and continue frying.

3. Once the beef is browned, pour in the milk, mix, and let it evaporate slightly. Then add the wine - again, let it partially evaporate. When the wine reduces, add the tomatoes to the pan and mix thoroughly. Add the bay leaf and a few peppercorns.

4. Reduce the heat to low and simmer covered, seasoning with salt, sugar, and pepper.

5. Cook the pasta al dente according to the package instructions. 

6. Serve the pasta with the sauce on top.

7. Enjoy your meal! You can garnish the dish with grated cheese.
